Voonic2 is a Canadian chiptunes rock band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2019. The band
consists of NazoNo (bass guitar, chiptunes and drum programming) and aRtPG (vocals and guitars).
Inspired by legendary acts like Anamanaguchi and Yellow Magic Orchestra, Voonic2 fuses beautiful
retro 8-bit soundscapes with powerful guitar riffs and melodic bass lines to create a blend of
modern rock and 90s gaming nostalgia.
What started as a solo project by NazoNo around 2011 has evolved into one of Quebec's premier
chiptunes rock experiences. Each concert delivers a story from start to finish—energetic tracks
that make crowds want to jump, dance, and feel like they're inside an old-school arcade
cartridge.
Voonic2 has performed at major Video Game Music (VGM) and anime festivals including BonusStage
(Canada), ÑoñoParty (Chile), Otakuthon (Canada), and VGMCon (USA), sharing stages with renowned
VGM artists like Bit Brigade, Master Boot Record, Mega Ran, and Master Sword.
Their passion for retro games extends into the gaming industry: they created the complete
original soundtrack for the mobile game King Cashing, and
their hit single "Zombie Attack" was featured in the game Depths of Insanity.
Following their debut EP "D.T.U." (2021), they released their first full-length album "Knights
of the Multiverse" in May 2023—a 9-track compilation spanning the history of the Voonic2
universe.

He started playing bass guitar at age 19 in Colombia before composing his own music. Moving to
Montreal, Canada, he performed with various rock and metal acts. In 2010, attending an
Anamanaguchi concert inspired him to create a dedicated chiptunes rock project, merging 8-bit
soundscapes with heavy rock riffs. In 2019, he joined forces with aRtPG to form Voonic2.

Singer and songwriter who picked up guitar at age 17. After fronting indie rock project
Waves&Windows, he invited NazoNo to record studio sessions in 2019. NazoNo introduced him to the
8-bit video game rock concept, sparking their partnership as Voonic2.
